The Ronda International Guitar Festival is an annual 5 day festival dedicated to Spanish music and guitar. The Spanish guitar is a unique musical instrument, born and developed in Spain, a world ambassador for Spanish music and culture. We are happy to celebrate it in the beautiful town of Ronda.
The third edition of the International Guitar Festival of Ronda will take place between the 5th and the 9th of June 2018.
During the festival, there will be 2 concerts at 9:00 p.m. with a short 15-minute break between each artist. In the 2018 edition we will see performances by guitarists and musicians from different parts of Spain, as well as international artists from Italy, Holland, USA, Bulgaria, Germany and France. The festival shows the versatility and diversity of styles that the guitar encompasses. Therefore, we will hear different styles, including Classic, Romantic, Flamenco, Jazz and Contemporary.
The tickets for the nightly concerts cost €15 (two artists/night) and for the entire festival it's €60 (10 different artists over the five days).
There is also a free program during the day with guitarist makers from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., matinée concerts at 1:00 p.m. and conferences in the evening (6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.) Remember these are all free of charge!
All festival activities will be held at the Palacio de Congresos, "Convento Santo Domingo" in the heart of the old town of Ronda, Spain. Ronda is a unique, romantic and fascinating city. A place where culture and nature go hand in hand to show the best of each one.
Ronda and the guitar are a perfect combination! A historical and cultural couple that demonstrate the best that both have to offer.
